What a refreshing atmosphere! Yoga and Massage/Bodywork at the Cambridge Wellness Center takes a contrasting approach in its philosophy. The purpose is to do what you need to achieve relaxation and easy movement. By focusing on yourself, you pay attention to improving only your own feeling and focus, instead of competing with everybody. I found this to be a great release and one that affects every area of my life. The lessons I have gotten from my experience here are very significant.

I came to the Cambridge Wellness Center to learn how to do yoga, not just to do yoga. My expectation has already been fulfilled just in 4 classes. I know I'm on my way. In my prior yoga classes before coming here, I felt so much pain and strain. Then, I thought that was just what was going to be with my doing yoga. How wrong I was! I'm now aware of how to do the poses without pain and strain! If I can not do the pose, I can choose not to, or figure out how to by seeing where I'm not in alignment through the bones.
I have also benefited a lot from my private sessions with Rose. I'm much more conscious of my diet and of my being in my relationships with others. I've never had a teacher like Rose before, one who is demanding of myself for me, not for her!

Coming to the private visits with Rose has helped me in a dramatic way. I started to understand my body better and realize the blockages that have been present for a long while. I learned and experienced how my body, my mind, and spirituality are connected and how I can keep them in harmony and balance. I feel more energetic after each visit; I feel like all the tension in my body is flowing. I am not blocked inside as I used to be. I am more dedicated to communicate myself honestly. My family and friends noticed in me a change that they describe as "a calmer Buket that is more open to being taken care of and supported."

I came to the Cambridge Wellness Center to help control a dietary condition and to have my body back to life. After my first visit with Rose to help get some knots out of my back, I walked away feeling released and lighter than when I arrived. I have also been working on my diet with Rose and have started to feel better. I understand what it is that I have to do in order to be a whole healthy person. With practice I believe that I will enjoy being, feeling, watching, touching, hearing all that is around me. I have been inspired by Rose! Inspiration can take you a long way! When there is a community of beings that feel, watch, touch and hear along with you, there is a feeling of happiness and togetherness. Thank you for this. I appreciate the Rose for providing an outlet for me.

Rose has taught me to examine myself, both physically and emotionally and I am becoming more honest with myself and more comfortable expressing my feelings. She refuses to sway from her demand that I give all of myself, even when I only want to participate in a half-assed way. Although this pisses me off sometimes, I appreciate her dedication to my well-being and it keeps me coming back because I want other relationships in my life to be as strong and clear.

I first came here with the intention of finding a physical yoga class in a peaceful, energetic atmosphere. Every time I walk away from class or sessions I feel as if I have just expanded my being. This place goes far beyond the physical aspects of exercise yoga. It goes far beyond any expectations I had and because of that I feel far beyond the person I was when I walked in here 4 months ago.

When I started taking yoga here my intention was to relieve some of my stress. I find that the benefits of this class for me have more to do with my state of mind. I feel that I am more conscious mentally of my emotions. Probably the most dramatic difference I noticed was less physical strain in my lower back and legs. Even though I struggle to make myself get up every Saturday morning I keep coming.

The Cambridge Wellness Center is a homelike, and community based setting, that serves for a relaxed and personal yoga experience. The instruction is both educational (whether you're working on biomechanics, or energy/philosophy) and active, and serves as a strong foundation for any yoga practice.
