Arthritis
Arthritis literally means inflammation of one or more joints (from Greek arthro-, joint + -itis, inflammation; plural: arthritides). There are currently over 100 forms of arthritis, ranging from conditions related to wear and tear of cartilage (osteoarthritis) to conditions associated with inflammation resulting from an overactive immune system (rheumatoid arthritis or "RA").
Symptoms of arthritis include pain and limited function of joints. Inflammation of the joints from arthritis is characterized by joint stiffness, swelling, redness, and warmth. Tenderness of the inflamed joint can be present.Although there are many natural cures for back pain, most people still continue to turn to pharmaceutical means of pain management. The problem with this approach is that some of these drugs have many side effects. Many over-the-counter analgesics can cause gastrointestinal problems, while the opioids that are frequently prescribed by doctors are not only addictive, but also lead to constipation, nausea, vomiting and in serious cases, seizures. In other words, those pain medications are actually making you sick, while purporting to treat your ailments.
I will teach you how to manage and treat your back pain through the use of alternative, all-natural means. This involves making a series of lifestyle and dietary changes that are designed to address the root of the problem, instead of merely trying to mask the symptoms. I use non-surgical means of treating chronic back pain.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)
Chronic fatigue syndrome, or CFS, is a debilitating and complex disorder characterized by profound fatigue that is not improved by bed rest and that may be worsened by physical or mental activity. Persons with CFS must often function at a substantially lower level of activity than they were capable of before the onset of illness. In addition to these key defining characteristics, patients report various nonspecific symptoms, including weakness, muscle pain, impaired memory and/or mental concentration, insomnia, and post-exertional fatigue lasting more than 24 hours. In some cases, CFS can persist for years. The cause or causes of CFS is complex, and no two persons have exactly the same set of causes.CFS symptoms: substantial impairment in short-term memory or concentration; sore throat; tender lymph nodes; muscle pain; multi-joint pain without swelling or redness; headaches of a new type, pattern or severity; unrefreshing sleep; and post-exertional malaise lasting more than 24 hours.
Depression and Anxiety
Depression is usually defined as a psychiatric disorder characterized by an inability to concentrate, insomnia, loss of appetite, feelings of extreme sadness, guilt, helplessness and hopelessness, and thoughts of death as a final means of peace and tranquility. While most people do suffer occasional down time, some people are more prone to feel this way consistently, and they are the ones who should seek professional help.For the countless others, a natural way can be the best choice for the best results in fighting depression and regaining a sense of joy and peace.

High Blood Pressure
High blood pressure can affect all types of people. About 1 in every 5 adults in the U.S. has high blood pressure. High blood pressure occurs more often in men than in women, and in African Americans almost twice as often as in Caucasians.
Most people feel no symptoms with uncomplicated high blood pressure. Essential hypertension (hypertension with no known cause) is not fully understood, but accounts for between 80-85% of all hypertension cases in people over 45 years of age.
Even though many times high blood pressure does not have a known cause, the condition can still be treated effectively with both lifestyle changes and realignment which enhances organ function. Both my Massage/Bodywork treatments and Yoga Classes focus on relaignment. The use of particular minerals is also quite effective.
Headaches
It's very common for people to say that they have "migraines," but this isn't quite as common as many assume, and it's far more frequently confused with other types of headache. Headaches can be defined into some specific group types that are quite characteristic.- Chronic tension headaches can come from an overload of stress or from being fatigued, but more often they come from physical problems, from psychological and emotional issues, or from depression.
- Cluster headaches come in groups of 1-4 a day in a set cluster period that may be a matter of days but can extend to months.
- Hormonal headaches have a similarity to migraines in that they affect only one side of the head and frequently are accompanied by nausea, vomiting, or sensitivity to lights and noise.
- Sinus headaches can be experienced after a cold or condition that causes a sinus infection.
- And the rarest are the organic headaches stemming from a skull or brain abnormality -- benign or malignant tumors, aneurisms, meningitis, brain abscess, infection, or encephalitis.

Low Energy
Fatigue is a common health complaint. It is, however, one of the hardest terms to define, and a symptom of many different conditions.Fatigue, also known as weariness, tiredness, exhaustion, or lethargy, is generally defined as a feeling of lack of energy. Fatigue is not the same as drowsiness, but the desire to sleep may accompany fatigue. Apathy is a feeling of indifference that may accompany fatigue or exist independently.
Fatigue is common. Around 20% of Americans claim to have fatigue intense enough to interfere with their having a normal life. Physical causes are estimated at 20-60%, and emotional causes are the other 40-80%. The challenge is how to tell what is causing your fatigue and whether it is serious enough to see your doctor.

Menopause
Do you find it hard to get out of bed in the morning? Run out of energy in the afternoon? Need an extra cup of coffee to keep going? All of the above? If you’re feeling tired all the time, your lack of energy might very well be a sign of hormonal imbalance.Fatigue is one of the most common symptoms of hormonal imbalance, affecting perhaps 80% of women in perimenopause and menopause. Many women attribute it to age, as though it were inevitable. Many are told, “Well, what do you expect — you’re no spring chicken!”
But fatigue is not a function of age — all across America we see women of all ages participating in the “Tired Chronicles.” Familiar story? Take note: fatigue is not inevitable! There’s a lot you can do to increase your energy naturally, whether you are 20 or 50 — or 90!
So let’s take a look at the underlying causes of fatigue, starting with their origins in hormonal imbalance.
Disrupted sleep is a common cause of daytime fatigue. Worry, anxiety and depression keep women of all ages on high alert, tossing and turning throughout the night. Hot flashes and night sweats — caused by hormonal imbalance and resulting in disrupted sleep — lead inevitably to fatigue. Adrenal insufficiency due to stress, poor diet choices, or the effects of perimenopause on thyroid function and melatonin synthesis also lead directly to fatigue. And believe it or not, just sitting around — yes, lack of physical activity — can sap your body of its vigor. You have to use energy to have energy!
We often see women who have all these problems. It’s no wonder they feel tired all the time!
Poor diet and nutrition are often behind hormonal imbalance and the resulting lack of energy. This is especially true of women who are yo-yo dieters or follow low-fat, high-carb eating plans. These women often suffer from insulin resistance, which disrupts their bodies’ glucose/energy metabolism. They get a burst of energy from high-carb foods, but quickly wilt, and need to start the whole cycle again.
Of course, with the enormous demands most of us experience daily, even a pretty good diet can’t supply the nutrients our stressed-out bodies need.

Neck Pain
Your neck and shoulders contain muscles, bones, nerves, arteries, and veins, as well as many ligaments and other supporting structures. Many conditions can cause pain in the neck and shoulder area. Some are life threatening (such as heart attack and major trauma), and others are not so dangerous (such as simple strains or contusions).Neck pain and strain can be caused by misalignment, overused or contracted muscles, compression in the joints, or lack of circulation toxicity. Premenstrual Syndrome
Most women experience mild symptoms of bloating, fatigue, breast tenderness, swelling, headache, backache, constipation or diarrhea, nausea, acne flare-ups, and food cravings around a week before menstruation. However, if you have PMS, these symptoms affect your daily activities and relationships. The symptoms of PMS are not just physical, but emotional and mental as well. These additional symptoms can include nervousness, depression, irritability, anger, agitation, mood swings, crying spells, decrease in sex drive, confusion, difficulty concentrating, and forgetfulness. You may feel overwhelmed and unable to control your feelings and reactions to people and situations. Symptoms may begin as much as 14 days before your menstrual period begins, but most commonly occur 7 to 10 days before. Women with epilepsy may have more seizures during this time, and women with diseases such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis may have a flare-up of symptoms. The symptoms of PMDD are the same as PMS, but are more severe and usually have more serious and life-affecting emotional symptoms.
